The following services are offered:
-Individual & School-Wide Screenings: Many parents and teachers are unsure if their child's skills are where they should be or if their behaviors are typical. Our licensed SLP will meet with your child to briefly observe areas of concern and typical developmental skills to determine if a full assessment or therapy is needed.
-Comprehensive Evaluations: Our SLP utilizes formal and informal assessment tools to identify strengths and areas of need for each child. This helps determine typical and atypical behaviors or areas of development, as well as helps families and our SLP to determine the best goals and activities to target in therapy sessions.
Note: If your child has had a recent evaluation or IEP, a new evaluation may not be necessary before therapy can begin.
-Individual & Group Therapy: Using data and information gathered from family/teacher report, previous/current evaluations, and ongoing analysis of skills, therapy is conducted using each child's own interests & strengths to engage them in targeting their therapy goals. Families & Caregivers are invited to observe/participate in all sessions. Their understanding of the therapy process will be vital for them to help their child target therapy skills throughout their child's day.
-Family/Caregiver/Professional Trainings: Families, caregivers, and other professionals (i.e. teachers, doctors, therapists, etc.) are vital to the therapy process. Our SLP conducts trainings to teach family, caregivers, and related professionals how to assist in identifying delays & disorders, as well as assisting in therapy activities or help their work towards their goals.
-Social Skills Groups: Many children struggle with socializing with peers, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and other pragmatic language skills. Social skills workshops are held to facilitate teaching and practical application of social skills with peer groups in a fun, engaging way.
